Keeping Childhood Wild.
Wild Child provides nature-based programs for young children and their families on the traditional and unceded territories of the Lekwungen-speaking (Xwsepsum and Songhees) and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples (Victoria, BC), offering community and care through unstructured, outdoor play.
Welcome!
We are rooted in the belief that childhood is best lived slowly and with as much time outside as possible. Our programs invite children to explore the natural world through unstructured outdoor play. We are inspired by the Waldorf philosophy and follow the rhythms of the seasons. We gather weekly at our home base, The Grove, for playgroup and in parks around Greater Victoria for Forest Playgroup and Forest Adventure Camp.
Come join us for child-led fun and increase your confidence in providing outdoor opportunities for your children. Registration is required for all our playgroups, camps, and events.

Wild Child recognizes that we are uninvited guests living and playing on the lands of the Lək̓ʷəŋən speaking Peoples (Xwsepsum and Esquimalt Nations).
As a nature-based program, we believe it is essential to acknowledge the land we play on and to continually learn from the Indigenous Peoples who have cared for it since time immemorial.
We strive to show respect by caring for this land and nurturing our children’s relationship with it.
